About this data set
All MOT tests and outcomes, including make and model of vehicle, odometer reading and reasons for failure, since the MOT system was computerised in 2005.
Users should note the changes made to the MOT regime in 2018, which affected the information presented in these datasets.
In June 2022, the dataset for 2017 was revised to include missing test results.
In December 2023, the dataset for 2022 was revised to correct an issue with the Fuel Type code for a small number of vehicles.
